We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Choijamts (Choi) Munkhzul to our laboratory. Choi joins us as a postdoctoral researcher focusing on RNA processing in germ cells. He recently graduated from Soonchunhyang University under the mentorship of Prof. Mihye Lee in the Republic of Korea. During his Ph.D., Dr. Munkhzul investigated microRNA pathways that regulate adipose tissue differentiation and explored age-related changes in microRNA expression. He published both projects as a first author and contributed to two additional manuscripts. Choi has honed his skills in molecular biology and cell culture techniques and has developed proficiency in bioinformatics for data interpretation.
With this solid foundation, Choi is eager to advance his data analysis skills further by learning workflow management tools, building container images, and optimizing our cluster resources through slurm. His research focus will shift from in vitro to in vivo models, where he will explore novel insights into sperm production regulation. We anticipate that Choi's work will significantly advance the fields of reproductive biology, RNA metabolism, and beyond.
Welcome, Choi, to the lab! We look forward to working with you.
